• Bloom Therapy & Consulting does not currently bill through insurance. You can be provided a document called a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Here are common CPT Codes that your insurance will need to identify the service provided:

    • 90791 — Initial Diagnostic Interview

    • 90834 — 45-minute therapy session

    • 90837 — 53-60-minute therapy session

    • 90853 — DBT group

If you plan to submit a Superbill to your insurance, it is strongly recommended that you ask your insurance company the following questions:

    1. Does my plan include mental health benefits?

    2. Does my plan include telehealth benefits?

    3. How many sessions a year does my plan cover?

    4. What is the reimbursement rate for an individual and/or group therapy session?

    5. Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

Please note that insurance companies will not reimburse you for phone calls, missed sessions, late cancellation fees, and many will not pay for various levels of care and/or multiple appointments in the same day.

  • When you complete your consent and intake forms, you will be provided a “Good Faith Estimate” so that there are “No Surprises” about the potential financial cost of psychotherapy services.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
