Work Experience

With a life-long passion of helping others, I started my journey in 2012 studying Social Work at Columbia School of Social Work in New York City. I was immediately drawn to  DBT due to the focus on emotions, mindfulness and tools to solve life’s problems. With DBT being the gold-standard treatment for emotion dysregulation, I dedicated myself, and my career, to learning as much as possible. I received my intensive DBT training during my second year at Columbia and was trained by Dr. Andre Ivanoff, the president of Behavioral Tech, the organization that DBT’s treatment developer, Marsha Linehan, established.

After graduating from Columbia School of Social Work in 2014, I worked at Clearview Treatment Programs in Los Angeles, treating adults with Borderline Personality Disorder and other co-occurring disorders such as Substance Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Bi-polar and Eating Disorders. At Clearview, I co-developed the Day Treatment Program and Family Program curriculum.

In 2018 I began my work at Compass Behavioral Health in Tustin, CA to focus on treating adolescents, young adult and their families. Within a year at Compass, I became the Associate Director of Training and  passed certification to become a DBT- Linehan Board Certification, Certified Clinician™ — a rigorous year long process demonstrating that I provide adherent DBT. Since then, I contribute to working on the DBT-LBC board.

At Compass, I continue to serve as the Associate Training Director and facilitate DBT trainings to staff and the community. I am a Clinical Supervisor and Field Instructor for Columbia School of Social Work, aiding in the training and development of master level graduate students. I play an active role providing consultation and feedback to colleagues in the field of DBT to enhance their conceptualization and application of DBT.

In addition to practicing DBT, I’m passionate about attachment-based work. Uncovering deep-rooted emotional traumas that impact daily life, relationships with self and others.

You are not alone
